OneThedd

Onethedd Productions is an underground label
dedicated to making the realest, sickest, weirdest, craziest,
sounds you ever heard from REAL filipino hip-hop artists.
Their music can be hard sizzling tracks for the hardcore thugs,
to the controversial mind-blowing deeply analyzed political tracks, to
the sweet-mellow and quite adventurous love songs for the ladies.
They got fast-rap to smooth-subtle relaxing flows. you name it they got it.
they don't? they'll make it. This is the kind of versatility of
the artists that most people underestimate. Even with alot of
hating around the label to this day, Its artists stay focused
and still deliver the real kind of music worth listening to.

Ted Salinel, the man behind the label,
was a former member of the Hip-hop group MASTAPLANN,
well-known and a pioneer in the Philippine hip-hop scene
since the 90's. Being one of the three breakdancers for mastaplann
he was not new to hip-hop, he had his whole
life growing up with the culture and with this
he was inspired to make music himself. He started making
his own beats some years back. He taught himself and quickly learned
the amazing ways of "the force(of beats. haha.)". As a man who grew up within
the culture, he was aware of every change and he was always
developing new methods that'll make his work different
from the usual peices you hear. His sound had a distinct signature
to it and in every way it was soothing for your ears.
By making sick beats and featuring in some wicked tracks
ted quickly established himself and created the label.
thus ONETHEDD was born...

Ted has
produced beats for big names in the industry
such as loonie & xplizit of Stick Figgas,
D-coy of maddworld, Konflict, Jay Flava,
Dice & k-9, klumcee(former Onethedd Arist), Truplaya(former Onethedd artist),
Apokalipsis, Lyrical Assault and much much more (that i really can't remember
right now).

In late 2006 ted met the group BLANC.ONE who
was formerly Snyp.1 & Elite (which just a little later joined by
flam a.k.a. menace & Dyme 5150) under SIMBAGSIK RECORDS (Shout-Outs to Simbagsik Fam!).
He started to test out the group's skills by dropping
some beats and when was satisfied with every hot joint given, he
started providing beats for the group and took them under his wing.
A while after through Snyp.1, C3G, an already established undergroud
group was introduced, and both blanc.one and C3G(cyclone, acid one, puccs) Joined the label.

In early 08, elite released his first ever CD which was titled
"The Hold-Up mixtape volume 1" where almost all tracks were produced
by Ted Salinel (two of the tracks were Produced by ACID ONE and Snyp.1).
"Go Get em" also found on this site was the favorite or should i say single
off of the album. The dastardly shaking Track of two of blanc.one's
artists "elite & Snyp.1" made a head-bumping, bass-pounding Anthem for the streets.

Also from early 2008 Onethedd Artists now were performing
in Butta Flava's Pinoy Hip-Hoppaz events
throughout the metro (SHOUT-OUTS TO JUG
AND GAZELLE OF BUTTA FLAVA ENTERTAINMENT!)
and some invitational gigs by Jonan Aguilar
(WASSUP JONAN!) around Araneta. WARCRY was always
the much awaited performance that people who followed their music wait for.
Whether its the classic collaboration of BLANC.ONE, C3G and BINARY ECLIPSE
(Larciny & Nevi'im Kimoy! Miss you Homies!) on Warcry one or the Inevitable hardness
of BLANC.ONE and C3G on the 2nd Revalation,
warcry was definitely an Underground Performance
of the year if there ever was an award for it.

Later that year "Right to Remain Silent" by Snyp.1, The more deep and controversial
political album that aimed a lyrical bullet straight to the government,
also produced by Ted Salinel was released and even scooped up fans from
Puerto galera trying to cop a CD (we love you guys! Thanks for the support!).
The same year much happened that
distorted some relationships within the label. Blanc. One member
elite left the group, through some complications with other members,
all this before the album "DEFINE VERSATILITY" was even released. (i will
post the last two songs i recorded for it "worth my love & start with your end").
All hope was lost, but with a little persuasion elite stayed with the
label as One of Ted's now talented solo artists.
Through all the Drama that was happening
C3G's Acid One released his "Panibagong Kalidad" album which
rattled the Underground scene with its Unique Fast-flow and
cleverly put addictive rhymes that will literally make you want more.
Every track expresses a different emotion. Ang guaranteed you will
feel every flow. Also around august of 08 was "OBG puccs isang ulo nalang TARA!"
album the undeniably heavy rhymes and beats of this album is a must
hear. You will get a taste of real underground music from all sides.
(album now up!!!)

In 2009 ted salinel decided to visit the philippines
and his artists here. And at The Indie Ball by Butta Flava Entertainment
held at Decades, Tomas Morato (i think).
Would you believe it was the first time he got to see
his artists perform live? Well, it was. But that's the kind
of trust he has with his artists. He made sure they work even if he
was not around due to the fact that he lives in California. C3g alongside with
Elite and WLP artists Serpent rhyme & Gambino made sure that they make it One
hell of a performance, and they delivered.
(All tracks performed are all on new Albums so i can't release any yet! Sorry!)

Now only a few active onethedd members remain and you might find them

So the label has been through alot of downfalls but never fails to amaze
the Hip-hop community. And they tend to keep it that way. With artists that are
versatile and unique. Onethedd has clearly made a mark on the philippine
hip-hop underground scene. but the most rewarding achievement is touching the
lives of those who listen to us. Thank you for you never ending support!
